Why volunteer?

• A complimentary admission ticket. Complete a volunteer shift and receive one complimentary general admission ticket to visit on another available operating night with family or friends. The event team will provide redemption details.
• Warm refreshments. Enjoy complimentary hot cocoa and other warm beverages during your shift.
• Community impact and service hours. Give back while earning service hours for school, civic clubs, student organizations, or corporate programs.
• A little holiday magic. Enjoy a festive outdoor atmosphere with roles suited to different interests and abilities.

Find your place on the glow crew.

• Zone Ambassador. Welcome guests within the light displays, share directions, and help keep walkways clear.
• Gate & Ticketing Assistant. Greet arriving families and assist event staff with digital ticket scanning and entry.
• Special Event Helper. Support designated feature nights, such as Santa photos, Pet Night, and Sensory-Friendly Night.
• Parking & Shuttle Guide. Help guests locate assigned parking, shuttle, and entry areas under event staff direction.
• Event Floater / Hot Cocoa Helper. Assist with volunteer or guest check-in, warm beverage areas, and other needs throughout the evening.

What to know before your shift.

• Location. Peak Health Track Complex at Mylan Park in Morgantown, West Virginia.
• Evening shifts. Standard shifts run 5:00-9:45 PM on Sunday-Thursday operating nights and 5:00-10:15 PM on Friday-Saturday operating nights. Your assigned shift will be confirmed by the volunteer team.
• Age guidelines. Volunteers ages 16 and older are welcome. Ages 13-15 may assist when accompanied by an adult or participating in an approved supervised group.
• Dress for the weather. This is an outdoor event. Please wear warm layers, a coat, gloves, a hat, and comfortable boots or walking shoes. High-visibility vests will be provided as needed.
